As i lay there in the dark I wonder what defines who I am. Is it my eyes, my smile, my physique, my work....etc
Or is it my thoughts, my ideas, my ways of being.
Who am I? What do you see?
As I ponder the thought I wonder about what defines me to me. What makes me who I am and what people remember or am I just an invisible entity?
Gaze into the water and what do you see?

Cold is just a word

A typical scene of Canada at this time of year or many other countries. We look and see the cold rising and the pure beauty of the whiteness. What is it we don't see.
Its the warm toddies, the cries of happiness as children hurtle down ski slopes, the calls of friends as they greet each other as they sit down to enjoy a warm log fire.
We forgot the simple and pleasurable things that make us sit back and say "it was all worth it" So when your day seems bleak take a second and reflect on the pristine white snow that some os us call home and remember that we are always with you.

There are days when just getting out of bed seems such a burden and takes the upmost effort. It is often the thoughts or words of those we calls friends that give us the courage and strength to carry on. And yet so often we forget to say thank you!
To those of you I call friend i salute you and give you my heart.
Such a small thing and yet it it priceless

Darkness and light

It is often not our own fear that tortures us but the fear of others over something they do not understand. Prejusdice is born of this fear and drives people to such mean acts that they themselves can no longer explain their own actions. How can anyone derive such joy out of watching others suffer and hurt. Take a moment each day to appreciate at least one person that you normally might not say hi to and try to walk in their shoes for one brief instant that you too may know what they feel. Life is so short and often we simply forget to enjoy the simple things and the brief instances of happiness. Instead we focus on that which causes us the most pain.

Throw off the shroud of bleakness and walk into the light, feel its warmth and know that you are not alone.

Pure and broken

Hearts are such delicate things that we protect like a fragile rose. Once broken we encase it allowing access to very few. And yet those few creep in when you are most unaware and become such an integral part of your life that you cannot imagine a future without them. The slight of word can make those fragiles petals bleed and then we hide it away showing a facade that smiles at everyone. But alone we bleed and yearn for what could be. Very few will ever see past that front but once they do you hope they will protect that softness as well as you yourself do.

Those of you that know me that well know who you are and i salute you with all that i am. Much love to you all .

Protector of dreams

The wolf in native culture is the protector of dreams. Curious that I choose that animal as my protector. Although the wolf is a pack animal it mates for life and often pines away when its mate dies. I look at the wolves that surround me in my environment and as night descends i pine for the heart that makes me smile. I hear him talking to me and wait patiently to hear him tell me everything will be fine. Alone I am the huntress that seeks the comfort of the night and the solace of the howling winds.
